To mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the State Audit Office of the Republic of Croatia, a conference was organised in Zagreb on 20-21 November 2024. The State Audit Office of Hungary (SAO) was represented at the event by Vice-President Dr. Csaba Szomolai.
In addition to the Hungarian delegation, several other European SAIs were also represented at the anniversary celebrations. Cooperation between the SAIs of Croatia and Hungary is active at different levels. Within multilateral fora, the two institutions participate together in various international working groups. In addition, there have been several opportunities for joint work between our SAIs in the framework of cooperative audits, most recently on the UN Sustainable Development Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation).
