The State Audit Office of Hungary (SAO) carried out a targeted audit to assess whether the state owned enterprises (SOEs) concerned had taken the necessary measures to recover their receivables. Based on the deficiencies identified, the SAO made recommendations to the management of the audited SOEs.
The SAO’s audit found that audited enterprises had established control systems to support the process of approving annual accounts, deficiencies however were observed during the practical application.
In the course of its recently closed audit, the State Audit Office of Hungary evaluated the activities of eleven organisations and enterprises, in case of which deficiencies were found in the fulfilment of disclosure requirements.
The SAO of Hungary continued its series of audits with the purpose of contributing to the promotion of the regular, expedient and effective financial management of disadvantaged settlements, thereby to the fulfilment of the objectives of the catch-up of settlements.
