The State Audit Office of Hungary (SAO) audited the utilisation of the housing stock owned by three districts of the capital and three cities with county rights between 2018 and the first half of 2023. The findings include that although the number of low-comfort housing units has decreased in all six local governments, the low level of spending on development and renovation poses a risk to preserving the value and condition of the housing stock owned by the local governments.
Dr. Csaba Szomolai represented the State Audit Office of Hungary at the ceremony held on 8-9 December 2024 in Brdo to mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Court of Audit of the Republic of Slovenia.

The State Audit Office of North Macedonia held its 25th anniversary celebrations in Skopje from 26 to 27 November 2024. Dr Monika Karas, Vice-President of the State Audit Office of Hungary, represented the SAO at the event.
Az észak-macedón számvevőszék 2024. november 26-27 között tartotta Szkopjéban a megalakulásának 25. évfordulóját ünneplő rendezvényt. Az eseményen dr. Karas Monika alelnök képviselte az Állami Számvevőszéket.
Az Állami Számvevőszék (ÁSZ) által létrehozott Pénzügyi Akadémia novemberben megtartotta első szakemberképzését. Az önkormányzati gazdálkodási folyamatokra fókuszáló oktatáson a Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén vármegyei községek felzárkózó településeinek gazdasági feladatait ellátó 40 szakembere vett részt, akik összesen 114 önkormányzatnál tudják hasznosítani a megszerzett ismereteket.
Az Állami Számvevőszék honlapján elérhetővé tette a települési önkormányzatok 2024. III. negyedév végi vagyoni helyzetét bemutató adatokat és a legfontosabb mutatószámokat, valamint az ezek alapján készített elemzést.
On 26 November 2024, Dr. László Windisch, President of the State Audit Office of Hungary welcomed Mehriddin Abdullayev, First Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and his delegation at his Office. In the framework of the bilateral meeting, the Hungarian and Uzbek supreme audit institutions concluded a Memorandum of Understanding document on sharing methodological and technological knowledge to support the development of public auditing.
To mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the State Audit Office of the Republic of Croatia, a conference was organised in Zagreb on 20-21 November 2024. The State Audit Office of Hungary (SAO) was represented at the event by Vice-President Dr. Csaba Szomolai.
