Bilateral presidential meeting with the Turkish Court of Accounts

Dr. László Windisch, President of the State Audit Office of Hungary, held a bilateral meeting with Mr. Metin Yener, President of the Turkish Court of Accounts in Ankara. The purpose of the meeting was to present the two institutions and to explore possibilities for cooperation.

The State Audit Office of Hungary (SAO) and the Turkish Court of Accounts (TCA) have so far cooperated mainly in multilateral international fora. The President of TCA, which is 163 years old this year, invited Dr. László Windisch, President of the SAO, to Ankara to review the future possibilities of bilateral relations. During the meeting, the two institutions presented their organisational structure, the background of their operations and the scope of their audits. In his presentation, the President of the SAO briefly outlined the main features of the SAO and the types of audits carried out by the institution.

In addition to a general presentation of the institution, the TCA also outlined the technological innovations used in its audit work. At the end of the meeting, the parties discussed future possibilities for cooperation between the two institutions and the framework for signing a cooperation agreement.

H.E. Viktor Mátis, Ambassador of Hungary to Türkiye also attended the meeting.
