The State Audit Office of Hungary (SAO) has completed its audit of the tender scheme under the Rural Development Programme, which aimed to increase the free availability of public welfare function of Hungarian forests.
The second meeting of the EUROSAI Project Group Project Group on Benefits and Methodologies of Real Time Audit took place on 4-5 June 2024. The two-day event was hosted by the State Audit Office of Hungary (SAO) in Budapest, where SAIs from 19 countries were represented and shared their experience and methodologies on the subject.
The SAO has concluded its audit aimed at evaluating the measures taken to improve e-administration, which included testing the user experience of the electronic interfaces for the most common administrative procedures.
On 24 April 2024, Dr. László Windisch, President of the State Audit Office of Hungary (SAO), received Zagdjav Deleg, President of the Mongolian National Audit Office (MNAO) at the headquarters of the supreme audit institution of Hungary.
On 19 April, Dr. László Windisch, President of the State Audit Office of Hungary (SAO) received the President of the Brazilian Federal Court of Accounts, who has been Chair of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) since 2022, at the SAO’s headquarters.
From November 2023, the State Audit Office of Hungary has been holding knowledge-sharing presentations for nearly 1,000 civil society organisations in several counties as part of its advisory activitiy.
Dr. László Windisch, President of the State Audit Office of Hungary and Ferenc Pál Biró, President of the Integrity Authority signed an agreement on defining the framework and content of the cooperation between the two institutions.
On 26 March 2024, the Vice Presidents and experts of the State Audit Office of Hungary (SAO) hosted a delegation of the Vice President and members of the senior management of the State Audit Office of Vietnam (SAV) at the headquarters of the SAO. In the framework of the bilateral meeting, the audit experts discussed current matters of organisational transformation and modernisation.
The delegations of the Slovakian and Slovenian Supreme Audit Institutions, led by their presidents Ľubomír Andrassy and Jana Ahčin, consulted with the president and experts of the State Audit Office of Hungary in Budapest about the practices, challenges, and the possibility of future innovations in the field of auditing parties and campaign funds.
