Cooperation agreement between the State Audit Office of Hungary and Óbuda University

Dr. Csaba Szomolai, Vice President of the State Audit Office of Hungary and Prof. Dr. László Gulácsi, Vice Rector of Óbuda University signed a cooperation agreement, the main goal of which is the professional and scientific cooperation and joint contribution to improving the quality of responsible financial management of public funds.

As agreed, the two organisations will cooperate to promote their professional objectives, in particular to support the SAO’s audit activities and analyses, to provide internships for students of the Óbuda University, and to make practical use of research results for its researchers.

Under the agreement, the university will provide expert support on issues requiring specific expertise in health economics and access to their research and publications, especially to the results of innovation management that underpin the exploitation of innovation.

The two institutions plan to organise joint tenders, events, conferences and training programmes within the framework of the agreement.

Since its establishment, the SAO has paid particular attention to scientific partnerships. The aim of these partnerships is to contribute to the broad utilisation of the SAO’s activities and also to the development of a professional-scientific dialogue at the social level.

As one of the most successful players of higher education in Hungary, with an international reputation in the fields of economics, information technology, engineering and natural sciences, the Óbuda University, in addition to the whole academic programme, also designates a special role for internationally renowned research, development and innovation activities. It contributes to the development of auditing the use of public funds by carrying out research for scientific and professional results.
