President László Windisch participated in the international symposium celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Czech Supreme Audit Institution

On the occasion of its 30th anniversary, the Czech Supreme Audit Institution organised an international symposium entitled “Greening SAIs”, in Prague. As part of the celebration, new headquarters of the Czech SAI, – which was built with sustainability in mind and was opened to the staff this year – was inaugurated. Czech Prime Minister, Petr Fiala, and President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, Markéta Pekarová Adamová both delivered speeches at the anniversary event, where heads of key SAI from the EUROSAI and Presidents of SAIs of the Visegrád cooperation were also present.

In parallel, experts of the EUROSAI Working Group on Environmental Auditing also met in Prague to discuss renewable energy and energy systems based on sustainable solutions. The meeting was opened by speeches of Miloslav Kala and Marian Banaś, Presidents of the Czech and the Polish SAI, and was followed by a discussion on energy efficiency, green fiscal policy, energy subsidies and energy security. During the two-day programme, experts also toured the newly inaugurated „green” headquarters of the Czech SAI.
